[Guide to Christian conduct and devotion] [ca. 1790]

Manuscript guide to proper Christian behavior and devotion, written in an exceptionally neat copperplate hand. The manuscript begins with sections on topics such as reading, eating, conversation, domestic behavior and public prayer. It continues with subjects for reflection for every day of the week, followed by texts of private, morning and evening prayers, as well as services for morning and evening family prayers. These family prayers seem to follow an amended version of the 1662 Prayer Book.
